There are phrases we've been hearing all our lives.
Phrases we see in books, on Instagram, on motivational posters…
"Live your dreams. Life doesn't wait. Nobody is going to fulfill them for you."
And yes, I had read them a thousand times too.
But I had never felt them like today.
I always thought I was fighting for my dreams.
That he was giving it his all.
That he was “doing his best”.
Until I looked at myself honestly and realized that it wasn't true.
I wasn't fighting for them. I was putting them off. I was asking life for permission. I was waiting for support, ideal conditions, external motivation.
He was making such well-justified excuses that I believed them:
👉 "First this, and then I can focus on myself."
👉 "Now is not the time."
👉 "When I have more time, more clarity..."
And in the meantime, life went on.
Your dreams are yours alone.
Today I see it clearly:
💥 Nobody is going to fulfill my dreams for me. Nobody is going to prioritize them the way I should.
💥 Nobody is going to take the first step for me.
And it's not from a place of harshness or reproach.
It stems from an empowering truth.
My dreams are mine. Therefore, it is my responsibility to make them a reality.
If life then decides to give me allies, people who support me, an unexpected opportunity, what a beautiful blessing.
But that can never be the condition for moving forward.
Why is it so hard for us to get started?
I've asked myself that many times.
Is it just ego? Fear of failure? Imposter syndrome?
Or is it that we are so used to surviving, to taking care of others, to being responsible, that we find it difficult to even allow ourselves to want something just for ourselves ?
Many times it's not a lack of desire.
It's a lack of internal permission.
It's as if we unconsciously think:
"I can't start creating this dream when there are so many more urgent things."
"What if I'm not enough? What if I'm wrong?"
But… what if not doing so would be the biggest mistake?
What if continuing to postpone it is what's really keeping you away from your purpose, your spark, your authenticity?
Our purpose is bigger than ourselves… and that's why we must fulfill it.
Your dreams need action, not excuses.
The first step isn't perfect, but it's powerful.
You don't need to have everything figured out to start.
You just need to make up your mind.
✨ Deciding that your dreams deserve to be lived.
✨ That you deserve to prioritize yourself.
✨ The time is now.
And when you take action, even a small one, something changes inside you.
A force is activated. A channel opens.
And, without realizing it, you begin to become the woman you once only imagined.
What if the fear isn't of failing, but of shining? ✨
Whenever it came time to get paid for a product or service, he would always postpone it…
And when interested customers arrived, I even had trouble charging them the real price.
Because?
Because deep down, I was afraid.
Fear that it wouldn't be enough.
Fear that they wouldn't see its value.
Fear of being rejected, or questioned.
And also, deep down, a fear of receiving. Of allowing myself to shine. Of sustaining my success.
Now let's change "your" to "my" because when you start a business, you are the company, the product, the service... and if you don't believe in yourself, you won't believe in your product either... you don't sell not because the product isn't good... but because you don't believe in your own value yet.
It's easy to dream.
It's harder to truly commit to your dream, with all its phases, including showing up, getting paid, receiving, and saying:
👉 “This is what my work is worth, and I stand by it with love and confidence.”
But that's also part of the dream.
To receive what is fair.
Sustain your abundance.
To witness how something you created with your soul transforms someone else's life.
Today I leave you with this reflection.
💭 Are you truly fighting for your dreams or are you just idealizing them while waiting for someone else to make them possible?
💭 What would happen if you stopped waiting for perfect conditions and started with what you have, from where you are, with what you know?
💭 What if you trusted that you are capable of holding your dream in your own hands?
Do it for yourself. Do it with yourself. Do it now.
Life won't wait for you.
But it also has something precious:
When you make the first move, she responds.
Don't wait any longer.
Don't put your dream in anyone else's hands.
Believe.
Decide.
Keep it up.
And if help comes, receive it as a gift.
But you walk it. Because only you can take that step.
With love,
Ingrid
